Florida Hospital College Welcomes New Students to Online Radiologic Sciences Program
Orlando, FL (PRWeb) March 29, 2007 -- Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (FHCHS) welcomed the first incoming class in 2007 for the College's online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science (BSRS) program. With 142 new students, the previous records were broken, bringing total new enrollments to 426.
"We would like to acknowledge this newest class of Radiologic Sciences students and congratulate them on their decision to further their education at Florida Hospital College," said Genese Gibson, MA, RT, (R) (M) (QM) Chair, Department of Radiologic Sciences. "The continued growth of the program shows the need for professionals with advanced education in the field. We are pleased that such large numbers of students have chosen the program at FHCHS. Our talented faculty and staff look forward to working with them."
Students entering the College's BSRS program in the spring 2007 term represent 24 states. Some live as far away as California, while others are as close as Florida. Wherever they live, they come together for a common purpose: to develop a thriving online community devoted to radiologic sciences and earn a prestigious Bachelor's degree. The degree will help them gain the knowledge and professional recognition necessary to remain competitive in this demanding field.
Timothy Roten R.T., (R), (CT), (CI) of Winston Salem, North Carolina, is one of the new students in the program. Mr. Roten has been in the field of radiology for 14 years. He has spent the past nine years at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. For the last seven years he has been a cardiovascular specialist. Mr. Roten has tremendous support from his employer to earn his degree through Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.
"The program came highly recommended by my supervisor who is in her second year of the Florida Hospital College program," said Roten. "I researched the school and found the program to be a perfect fit, allowing me to get my B.S. degree without time away from work. The degree is an essential step for my continued professional growth in radiologic sciences."
"Students in the online program apply what they have learned the day after mastering the content, raising the level of radiologic practice immediately in their workplace," said Gibson. "These students are among the most dedicated I have known displaying the ability to manage career and educational obligations while maintaining high academic standards."
The online Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences program allows working professionals from around the world to enhance their career and earning prospects without giving up quality of life. The degree can be completed in as little as 18 months.
