Saving Big Money at Walt Disney World Orlando

Disney World is a wonderful place to vacation, but sometimes on property tourism can get costly or you might just need a break from the mouse. Whether you want to venture off property to shop, dine, relax, or just enjoy different hot spots, Orlando will not let you down. Plus, keep reading and you're sure to get a couple of money-saving tips that you can use on your vacation. Let's face it, everyone could stand to save a dollar or two, or two hundred.

Orlando didn't get famous for being cheap. But the people who have lived in the area or spent a lot of time there can tell you where to go to save some hard earned money. There is one thing any traveler should keep in mind: the closer to Disney property you are, the more expensive things will be. I'm not telling you to drive to Jacksonville for lunch, but look around, drive a few miles away from property and just see what's out there.

Transportation

One thing you will need to think about while planning your trip is your main methods and modes of transportation. If you are driving to Orlando, you're set; you have a car. If you're flying in, you may want to think about renting a car. While it seems like that's going to cost you more money, you'll be able to save money in other ways.

Disney transportation won't take you off property and cabs will get expensive. Find a cheap rental car and save it for necessary trips. Save the gas money and take free shuttles when going to the parks. Try websites like www.hotwire.com or www.priceline.com to save the most money on cars. Also, many airlines will offer specials with rental car company partners. Check out your airline's website or call their customer service phone number for more information.

Saving money can be difficult with gas prices this day and age, but if nothing else, you can stay away from the stations that increase their prices even more. Also, steer your vehicle away, far away, from gas stations close to the airport and close to Disney World. Visit www.gasbuddy.com for the cheapest gas prices at many local stations.
