Travelers are Enjoying Deep Discount Luxury Resorts as an Alternative to Timeshare Ownership

(PRWEB) September 2, 2007 -- An increasing number of bargain hunting travelers are taking advantage of deep discount luxury resort memberships as an alternative to timeshares.

Antony Mosley, a distributor with the Global Resorts Network (GRN), refers to the company?s discount luxury resort membership as a ?timeshare upgrade?.

Mosley states, ?We?re not running a timeshare membership, it?s just that the consumer will be able to book deep discount family vacation or business travel accommodations at our membership website. We have all of the familiar big name luxury resorts, but without the usual timeshare costs. Members only pay once for a low priced membership, and then for the weeks they use. Users can book any week of the year, and as often as they?d like during the year, for only $298 to $699 per week, and there?s no timeshare presentation requirement. I consider that an upgrade.?

According to Timeshares.com, ?the average price of a timeshare purchase is around $16,000, but some timeshare packages can start as low as $11,000.? In contrast, a discount luxury resort membership with the Global Resorts Network is only $2,995 or $1,495, and the company does offer financing. The GRN membership also includes airline tickets, car rentals and deep discount cruises.

Mosley adds, ?Before I joined GRN, I just paid whatever Travelocity or Hotwire wanted for a nice luxury resort. I?m finding the same resorts and better resorts in the areas I?ve traveled, all at substantially lower prices per week. This membership has been around since 1986, and I?m just sorry that I didn?t learn about it sooner.?
