Althorp House is Added to LTR's Portfolio of Stately Homes for Hire
UK (PRWEB) March 7, 2008 -- Loyd & Townsend-Rose is delighted to announce that they have now added Althorp to their portfolio of houses & castles. LTR will be helping promote the house for exclusive house parties and small corporate events. Althorp is a stately home but it is in no way a museum. It remains a home for Earl Spencer (http://www.ltr.co.uk/properties/england/featured/althorp) and his family. Despite its size the house is extremely welcoming and has a very intimate feel to it. We know our guests will enjoy staying in such an historic home, which offers so much.
During July and August Althorp House (http://www.ltr.co.uk/properties/england/featured/althorp) is open to the public, for the rest of the year it is available for hire on an exclusive basis. Indeed once you drive through the electronic front gates, you enter a very peaceful deer park and as you progress down the long driveway, the atmosphere is more and more secluded. The grounds are in immaculate condition and stretch as far as the eye can see. "You sense immediately that this is an estate much loved by its owners and beautifully looked after by its staff" says LTR director Andrew Loyd.
"The house is a fascinating mix of old and new with the main state rooms housing a fabulous collection of pictures, furniture and ceramics, as well as boasting some very fine interiors. Again all the rooms are maintained to a very high standard but unlike many large stately homes (http://www.ltr.co.uk/properties/england), Althorp somehow retains a very cosy feel. I was immediately struck by its friendly atmosphere and the staff were all very welcoming. The bedrooms range from very grand and ornate to more modern and intimate."
The drawing rooms, library and dining room (which is called the Marlborough Room (http://www.ltr.co.uk/properties/england/featured/althorp)), are all incredibly opulent and offer the opportunity for entertaining in great style. Combine this with very comfortable accommodation for up to 22 guests and a large estate to enjoy and you have the makings of a very special house party or family celebration.
